I read 16 books in 2025. Here’s the list with comments on each one.
Humility by Andrew Murray
Second time reading this book. One of the best books on the topic!
Men & Marriage by George Gilder
One of the best books I’ve ever read. Fascinating insight that you would never know was written in 1973 and 1986, on gender roles and how societies work and how we got to where we are. I highly recommend this book!
The Warrior Poet Way by John Lovell
Good manhood book.
The Pastor’s Soul by Brian Croft & Jim Savastio
Good book on pastoring. Very holistic.
8 Errors Parents Make by Michael Brock
One of the better books on parenting that I’ve read.
Lionhearted by Doug Giles
If you’ve read Doug Giles before you know his style is like no one else – definitely not for everyone. I laughed out loud many times reading this book. It’s obnoxious, entertaining, and at the same time has some good stuff.
Father Hunger by Douglas Wilson
Good but not as good as his other books.
Knew Ability Zero by Ben Patrick
Fascinating book on how to heal your knees.
Ten Modern Evangelism Myths by Ryan Denton
Why Read Church History by J. Philip Arthur
Building Your Band Of Brothers by Stephen Mansfield
Excellent book on a neglected but necessary topic. Stephen Mansfield is excellent when talking about men and this book is a great example of that. Highly recommend.
The Men We Need by Brant Hansen
Good manhood book.
Happy Hour by Hugh Halter
Good stuff on church life that is rarely written about.
How To Lead Your Family by Joel Beeke
Good, short, and to the point.
Keep Your Kids by Douglas Wilson
When Doug Wilson writes books about the family, they’re typically really good. This book is no exception. Excellent book on parenting with a lot of helpful stuff in it.
Ploductivity by Douglas Wilson
Excellent book on how to be more productive.
