These are gender confused times.
Ask multiple people what it means to be a man and you will most likely get a myriad of answers.
It really doesn’t matter what most people think though. What does God have to say about being a man?
Here’s what he says in his word:
“Dress for action like a man…” Job 38:3
“When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.” 1 Cor 13:11
“When David’s time to die drew near, he commanded Solomon his son, saying, ‘I am about to go the way of all the earth. Be strong, and show yourself a man…'” 1 Kings 2:1-2
“…act like men, be strong.” 1 Cor 16:13
“…a man… is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man. For man was not made from woman, but woman from man. Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man… in the Lord woman is not independent of man nor man of woman; for as woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman.” 1 Cor 11:7-9, 11-12
“Take courage, and be men… be men and fight.” 1 Sam 4:9
“When no bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up—for the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man to work the ground…” Gen 2:5
“The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.” Gen 2:15
“Then the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it.” Gen 2:15 NAS
“And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it.” Gen 2:15 AMP

“Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.” 1 Cor 14:20
“…to mature manhood…” Eph 4:13
“But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children.” 1 Thess 2:7
“For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus.” Phil 1:8
“…if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Tim 5:8
“Then the LORD God said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.'” Gen 2:18
“…a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife…” Gen 2:24
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” Prov 18:22
“For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior… Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself…” Eph 5:23, 25-33
“Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.” Col 3:19
“…husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.” 1 Pet 3:7
“Then the man said, ‘…she shall be called Woman…'” Gen 2:23
“The man called his wife’s name Eve…” Gen 3:20
“…I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband…” 1 Cor 11:3
“He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive…” 1 Tim 3:4
“…his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination.” Titus 1:6

“…what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Tim 2:2
“I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.” 1 Tim 2:12–14
“For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel.” 1 Cor 4:15
